Rookery Cottage is situated in a quiet part of old Brixworth and the buildings date from 1689.  Maddy and Pete Kottler have converted the attached wing into a studio for artist Pete, and a self-contained, light and airy, comfortable double bedroom with en-suite shower for bed & breakfast guests.

The bedroom overlooks the charming walled garden and beyond to some of the beautiful specimen trees in the garden of The Rookery next door.

Guests may use The Studio, which has a wood burning stove, to watch television and, of course, to look at Pete's fine paintings!

Rates: B&B £60 for the room per night.

No smoking in the bedroom please.

Brixworth has a splendid Saxon church, one of the oldest in the British Isles, only a couple of hundred yards from Rookery Cottage. There are three pubs in the village, all of which do evening meals. There are many local attractions within a few miles radius including Althorpe, Holdenby House, Lamport Hall, Cottesbrook Hall and Coton Manor. Pitsford Reservoir and Country Park is half a mile away offering cycle hire, fishing and sailing.
